INSTILS is led by Medilink EM in partnership with the East Midlands Academic Health Science Network, The University of Nottingham and Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust.

Collaborating with Academia

SurePulse Medical Ltd is a joint venture between the University of Nottingham and Tioga Ltd. The company has developed technology for monitoring heart rates in newborn babies.

The SurePulse VS system is the only heart rate monitor specifically designed for newborn babies currently available on the market. It allows for hands-free resuscitation and stabilisation via a single-use cap which integrates a sensor and a reusable display with wireless modules. This provides a continuous, hands-free heart rate within minutes after birth.
