SurePulse and University of Nottingham Celebrate National Medilink UK Award Win

We are proud to announce that SurePulse Medical, in collaboration with the University of Nottingham, has been awarded the 2025 Medilink UK National Award in the Partnership Between Business and Academia category—building on our regional success with national recognition.

This prestigious award highlights the strength of our long-standing collaboration with the Faculty of Engineering and the School of Medicine at the University of Nottingham. Together, we are developing innovative neonatal monitoring technologies that are transforming the care of newborns both in the UK and globally.

The Medilink UK Healthcare Business Awards 2025 are a major highlight of the life sciences calendar, celebrating the most forward-thinking and impactful organisations across the UK.

James Carpenter, CEO of SurePulse Medical, commented:

“We’re honoured to receive this national award alongside our colleagues at the University of Nottingham. It’s a powerful example of how academic excellence and clinical insight can come together to improve outcomes newborns.”

He added:

“This award doesn’t just celebrate innovation in neonatal technology—it underscores the broader value of academic–industry partnerships in advancing healthcare and supporting regional economic development.”

Professors Barrie Hayes-Gill and Don Sharkey from the University of Nottingham said:

“This national recognition reflects the real strength of our collaboration with SurePulse Medical. Together, we’re not only enhancing care for newborns, but also driving innovation and supporting high-skill job creation through translational research.”

We extend our thanks to Medilink UK and the judging panel for this recognition, and we congratulate all fellow winners and nominees who continue to drive excellence in UK life sciences. We are looking forward to celebrating this achievement at the awards event on Thursday 10th July at the London Institute for Healthcare Engineering (LIHE).
