Each Baby Counts

There has been a lot of activity in the UK news recently around better monitoring of babies during labour and delivery. For example, the Each Baby Counts campaign by the RCOG is a “national quality improvement programme to reduce the number of babies who die or are left severely disabled as a result of incidents occurring during term labour.” [https://www.rcog.org.uk/eachbabycounts]. The campaign acknowledges that “Stillbirth, death of a newborn baby or the birth of a baby with brain injuries are life-changing events that significantly affect women and their families.”

SurePulse is committed to improving vital sign monitoring in both term and pre-term neonates who need resuscitation at birth. Better monitoring will mean better clinical decision making and improved short and long term outcomes for these at-risk babies. When each baby counts, then every second counts too.
